Atmosphere Concert

On Friday May 6, 2011 in San Diego, California I got to see the greatest performance of my life. Atmosphere, a group from Minneapolis, Minnesota and helped build up Rhymesayers Entertainment (http://www.rhymesayers.com/)

Not only is Sean Daley, known as "Slug", one of the most influential rappers in the game but also probably the hardest working. With songs such as "Godlovesugly" and "One of a Kind", the passion is clearly there. The performance was better then anything you could imagine. It's rare for the musician to sound as good live as they do in the recording booth, and I don't know how the fuck he manages, but Slug did it. As a Rhymesayers sponsored concert, Atmosphere was preceded by Sab the Artist, Grieves ft Budo, and Blueprint, all displaying similar passion as Atmosphere, with lyrics that are based off true feelings.
My sister and I were decided to attend the San Diego performance rather then the Berkeley one because we wanted to visit our friend Kimmy at San Diego State. So Hannah, Kimmy, our friend Darrah and I went into the concert expecting to be amazed, and, well at least for me personally, came out completely changed. It's really hard to explain, especially just typing it, but it was a feeling that inspired me.

I have yet to find someone whose words influence me like his do. Its as if he says what you wish you could say, or have always wanted to say. He sums up your thoughts using hyperboles and symbols, but never the less defiantly getting his point across.

"To me religion is based on practice, everybody has beliefs. Religion is a controlled or at least organized way of thinking.
I don’t really cater to that. I believe in myself and I have faith in my surroundings, I believe in balance and in karma, I don't believe in an unseen hand controlling things, I believe in fate but only in the sense that you manifest your own destiny."-Slug from an interview
See what I'm saying? Fuck, I didn't think I could love music this much.
